Robert van Koesveld is known for his cultural portraits and ‘portraits of place’ – narrative streetscapes and landscapes. He pursues the qualities of emotion, spirit and timelessness within the final image. Robert works internationally and enjoys interviewing and photographing for stories and picture essays, including long term projects such as his books about Bhutan and Geiko.

As an outcome of his longer-term projects, Robert van Koesveld also produces fine-art prints in exhibition series. Printing to a gallery standard is something he values highly. He crafts individual wall prints, boxed folios, limited small editions and artists books.
